Doctor Naomi van Hout studied medicine in Antwerp, Belgium. She then specialized as a (vascular) surgeon in Rotterdam and subsequently as a plastic surgeon in Nijmegen. After this education she completed several (foreign) fellowships. First a reconstructive microsurgery fellowship in Uppsala, Sweden, and the Dutch Association for Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (DAFPRS) fellowship to gain experience in aesthetic surgery.
Doctor Van Hout then focused her specialization on Gender Surgery, completing a fellowship at het AUMC in Amsterdam. She works as a Plastic Reconstructive Gender Surgeon within GenderClinic and works as a plastic surgeon at VUmc with a focus on gender surgery.
